Since I got my Ally x it’s been a game changer. I travel a lot for work and just couldn’t get into my switch because of the games, but now with the Ally x. Being able to play BG3, or Cyberpunk on the go and still use my ps5 game files. Life changing. Expensive yes, but worth it.

add a tutorial for lossless scaling. i have my m2 button set to a hotkey to toggle lossles scaling on and off and i can run literally a n y t h i n g smooth on the ally x with 12gb of ram allocated to vram

My Ally X is a BEAST!! While the legion go and the newer MSI Claw have bigger screens, the Ally X is more portable and cheaper when it comes to SSD upgrades.

Ive got the og rog ally z1 xtreme, my sd card died after some months :/, ive been using windows for the most part and it was a pain, it literaly takes half a day just to download and update everything.

After everything is set up is an ok experience but it just didnt felt right for a handheld, I finally decided to ditch windows and install bazzite and oh boy im having a blast with my device, to install and set up took almost no time, it literally took more time to download the OS image.

I really dont miss much from windows, only thing that kept me from switching was the audio, it is way better on windows with dolby atmos, sound on bazzite is meh, I actually have to put some headphones on since I cant get uswd to the audio downgrade yet.

Other than that, performance seems to be about the same and some games run way better on linux than windows only game that runs slightly worst is diablo iv dunno if its because of vram but at least ive felt it run slightly worst. Emulation also seems to run better at least for gamecube with dolphin, on windows ive always had some stutters and hicups and on bazzite is just smooth as hell I was really impressed how good the software is.

All in all I wont be coming back to windows bazzite has provided me a great experience.

Ohhh I did it wrong. I thought the first thing you do with my Rog Ally was to open the package and going to the other room and while I am not looking I would have my 3 year old pick it up and then throw it to the hardwood floor to disassemble it.

Armory crate does such a good job what benefits would we really get ditching windows? Hibernate works good enough and the quick menu has pretty much everything i want. I did try installing bazzite on the win mini and kept gettingstuck installinf after booting from the flash id get like 5 lines of code on that matrix screen and it'd just sit there. Win mini motion assist was driving me nuts gyro wouldnt work at all and wasnt able to update it and i really tried and theres not many videos out about it. Ended up just returning it as even at 12 watt's the thing gets unreasonably hot and having an 8840u in a device like thats a waste as its shell and cooling cant handle what that chip needs to shine.

Any way to disable armory crate? Ir even a way to remap the AC button? Lately I've been preferring steam big picture mode. Armory crate for whatever reason sometimes doesnt connect my controller when starting games. But when i ooad from steam, it works fine.
