That power supply switch will always be off for the first time. Even if you turned it on.

I’m experience PC builder and just recently made another build and completely forgot about switching the refresh rate from 60 to 144hz, appreciate it brother!

Surely The Greatest Technician That's Ever Lived never forgets to switch the power supply on...
Surely not....

That last one is a BIG tip, luckily I remembered to up the refresh rate of my monitor after I built my PC thanks to some of your videos.

Back in 2012 I purchase a Dell desktop and they have their own runner/delivery guy to do the job. They will make sure the item is in good condition, calls you to make sure you're at home first, then they will help you assemble the pc and make sure everything works fine. I'm not sure if they still do that but it was a great customer experience.

The switch is a one, not an “i”. It comes from binary one being on and zero being off.

two super helpful things I got from this video I would have never known about. The refresh rate and Ram speeds. Recently bought a new PC and Monitor. You won my sub click.

Another good tip if you got a prebuilt is to do a fresh windows install to get rid of all the bloatware they throw on your pc, most of that stuff does nothing but slow your pc down

Very good tips, make sure also to all the drivers are installed, and if windows is activated, because I'm sure there are some people who don't do that for no reason.

I've been playing 60hz for 4 months now without realizing I had a 165hz monitor. I didn't really check refresh of it since it was a graduation gift and my old monitor was using 60hz.

Also important safety tip not only for yourself but for your components as well. Make sure the power supply is OFF when you do the visual inspection and you possibly need to reseat some components.

For the visual/parts inspection, make sure to take a video of the entire unboxing process and get close ups of the parts. Some companies are VERY scummy about issuing returns/refunds for damaged equipment.

6. Enable Resizable BAR for Nvidia and SAM for AMD in BIOS
7. Install latest GPU driver and motherboard chipset driver

If you have windows, you should also make sure fast boot in the control panel is turned off. It makes your shutdown not shutdown fully so the ram doesn't reset. If you turn on your pc and 80% is being used, that's your issue.

Aside from checking connections, check if there is loose screws. I had a friend who bought new pc and it was going 80C. When i checked it, the aio cooler wasnt properly torqued. I redo the theremal paste and reseat the cooler just to be sure. 😂
