Quick Line Array Tuning Level & EQ in Smaart®

Here is what I have been doing when I only have time to measure a single array in Smaart:
1. Place 3 mics: VTOP, ONAX, and VBOT.
2. Observe all three transfer functions, plus a live average.
3. Make level and EQ decisions compared to a target trace.
4. Listen to reference track with EQ in/out.

Bob's book suggests that it's a bad idea to run array sections at different levels because you lose LF directional control. Instead, he suggests HF equalization (per array section) to level match. You can see that some speaker manufacturers include this concept into their array-able enclosures with HF shelf buttons.

Hi nathan, do you have a video that details how to set limiter values for the amp and speaker from a DSP processor. How do we calculate the voltage of the amplifier if only the sensitivity is known, and how to use this information to derive the proper values to set in dBFS and dBu.

And what about the coherence in the magnitude window? Does it matter if you're not getting good coherence above 70% for your EQ decisions to be accurate?

Is it worth having a tablet connected to the PC of the system to control it remotely and to be able to change the positioning of the microphones or is only a 4-channel interface more than enough? It is quite frustrating in large venues to continually move for mic positioning between FOH and mic position.

Nathan, I'm looking for an interface to take measurements in REW or Open Sound Meter, I'm just a hobbyist and can't really spend much on this project.
With that said, is the Steinberg UR12 a good interface to use for this? Where I live it costs nearly half the price of the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3.

Question- for that dip you can see in smaart around 2k.. you wouldn’t bring that level up at all to try and fix the dip?
