The thing that was great about hank and walt was that they were both genius in their fields and both of them destroyed themselves by becoming obsessed

Cool thing about Hank, he is a showman. He knows well it´s all about presentation.

I was not a Hank fan at the beginning of Breaking Bad, but this scene among others completely won me over. Dean Norris is an incredible actor.

I love how Hank is meant to be a foil of Walter. Hank puts on the persona of a masculine tough badass, while in truth he is a good hearted family man that gets over stressed from the harsh realities of his job. Walter on the other hand put on a facade of a meek and weak man, nobody knowing that underneath is a cold calculating self interested individual. The way these two baldies are contrasted is writing genius

And I would’ve gotten away with it, if it wasn’t for that meddling DEA Agent and his brother-in-law!

Interesting that Hank suspected Gus before he suspected Walt, even though Gus was way more cautious and experienced than Walt.

I love how Hank evolved during the show, at the beginning I thought he was just a goofy cop but he ended up as one of the smartest character in the show

Hank never would have found out if Walt had not encouraged him.

Watch Gomey when Hank starts to agree with them about how his theory must be crazy. He's not laughing or concurring with Hank, because he knows his partner too well. He knows Hank wouldn't go to all that trouble if he didn't have something up his sleeve and he was winding up for his big reveal. He's basically bracing himself for it. Just a little something I enjoy in this scene.

Has anyone else recently finished Breaking Bad and is genuinely depressed about it?

I love how Hank leads us to believe his theory is dead, then revives it back to life again, very clever writing this

_"If your guy had his meeting at KFC, you wouldn't immediately assume that he's sitting down with Colonel Sanders..."_

Hank's eyes widen as the scene cuts to the Colonel being taken away in handcuffs. That finger lickin' bastard had to be stopped.

Hank was the real hero of this story. When Walter was a coward, he was brave. When Walter was manipulative, he was straight and honest. When Walter only showed selfishness, he was loving and caring. He put his life, his integrity, his well-being and his profession on the line all the time trying to do his job, while Walter was hiding and scheming. He was exceptionally written and acted, I really enjoyed his arch.

Hank was ALWAYS there to help Marie or her sister and her sister's children. Walter Jr. loved him. He was truly a family man, something Walter claimed to be. He left everything to go see his wife, thinking she was in a hospital while Walt missed the birth of his daughter. Respect for Hank for that.

I'm Mexican and I loved Hank. Drugs have caused a lot of damage in my country I felt sad when he was murdered.

Hank was a hero in a world where heroes don’t exist. Great at his job but completely in over his head. His own tenacity and unwillingness to leave well enough alone led to his death. Still one of my favorite characters on the show.
