This Setting Will Change Aiming Forever

Mouse sensor orientation is key to instinctive feeling aim, yet almost no one knows what it is or how to fix it. This video changes that!

What rotation value worked out best for you?

I can’t believe I’ve never noticed this or heard about this application! I appreciate you spreading the word about this, as it makes a noticeable difference even if you only need to adjust it slightly (like me)

Ever since they removed mouse orientation from windows mouse settings I've been at a loss. 1 is my value, thanks to you for finding this essential tool that should still be in windows by default.

Actually without realizing this, I'm using the g303 by having my arm slightly angled away from my body (center of the pad a little further to the right) which is compensating the angle of my grip perfectly, as the line test gave me perfect straight lines.

There was always something a little off with my aim, no matter how long I practice (4k hours in apex legends), I could never snap to another players head after fighting someone else; but now.. with a -2.5 rotation value, I'm no longer seeing that centimeter of miscalculation in my aim. I can safely say this helped me a lot. Thank you, Struth.

Dude I literally have it set to 1. I didn't have much of a problem with straight lines from the start until I noticed my 180 movements were making me aim higher. Now I'm naturally doing 180s at head level throughout with just 1 degree difference. I studied 0 and 1 multiple times thinking maybe it was in my head... NOPE. Thank you, man! My aim is much more consistent now that that one TINY tweak is done. Btw I'm using the G303 as well ;)

The example you used where your wrist pinches down is exactly what my aim does when I aim left. I thought I was absolutely insane. It works but is so uncomfortable and takes more effort to reset my position after. I'm so pumped I found this video.

Honestly watched this and thought there is no way it really makes that big a difference.... Happy to say I was wrong. My aim feels less shaky and much more natural. Here's to hoping its not placebo :)

When I was a younger semi pro player I used a death adder and up until this point no one mentioned this to me!!! I had a hybrid grip and would change grips based on situation, I remember I used to hold the mouse slightly sideways and for some reason my muscle memory told me that it FELT like the sensor of the mouse was right underneath my mouse 1 finger. It felt completely in line. I haven't been able to feel that with any other mouse since. Maybe this will give me a bit of a nostalgia since I'm older and succ now. Pretty crazy. I should have made YouTube videos about it back then! Thanks man!

What is so wild about this is that fact that I used to aim my best YEARS ago when I used a Steelseries Rival, and going to NEW mice afterwards, never felt the same and I would use a new mouse with a natural 5-10 degree offset until I got used to it after a little bit of time.

I just saw this video and it proved my initial thoughts, I went to use the Rival again (old school 1st gen 3310 sensor one lol) and instantly I'm starting to draw straight lines without any effort, and then using my newer Viper Mini SE, instantly went to skewed lines. I always figured it was the forward sensor position, but now I can tune for it which is awesome! Thanks!

1:45 in, youre describing what i go through and feel every game, fighting my arm to try to track horizontally. Cant wait to see what to fix lol

For me with just a viper mini, my lines are already perfectly straight but if I change my grip they are angled differently. Interesting that I've naturally found a grip where they are horizontal already.

One thing to note about this (may be mentioned later in the video) is that sometimes it's on purpose that you end up pivoting your wrist to left and right horizontally if you're used to aiming like that and don't wish to move your entire arm in that motion.

This only applies to wrist aimers. For those who use arm, the line will always be horizontal and will not have destortions

Bro you are a genius. I never would have applied this to the mouse. I’ve down this with joystick software before. Great job

This is mostly for people who aim with wrist and it lay on the pad but if someone like me just sliding wrist and pushing mouse to the pad it will not work because with that technique I’m doing straight lines anyway the worst part is why turning it’s not always straight which needs more time to accustom and learn.
Anyway really helpful for people with total wrist technique.

Pretty cool that those same guys that made the mouse accel program made this banger of a program as well. I wish this program came out years ago. I remember being obsessed with aiming back then, scouring ESReality forums and other sites for any information I could find regarding theory, mice, grips, sensor position, sensitivity, tracking, line angle correction, surfaces, movement, etc., partly to better myself, and partly because I was fascinated by these different playstyles from players.

Omg I just found this video and it’s amazing. I subconsciously wondered why my cursor always ended at their feet when I tracked to the right in aimlabs but now I know. -3 got me straight and feeling much better on my tracking and flicks. I didn’t realize how much I was compensating

had to exert a lot more force to aim diagonally now with these changes it just happens naturally, simply amazing what this change does. Really saved me from buying another mice, my current gaming mouse (viper v2 pro) isn't ideal as fingertip grip seem to be natural with this one while my hand probably would prefer a palm grip.

wow, just wow! I have a minor skew and adjusted the angle to -3 and i can see my aim immediately is better and more consistent. Thx! :)
