No, Canadians do NOT pride ourselves on making fun of Americans. I mean, we do it sometimes, but no more then Americans make fun of Canadians, and it's all in good fun both ways, for the most part. In fact, Canada as a nation is more like the "mr. Minnesota" referenced, polite to the point that both parties bumping into each other will automatically apologize, we thank the bus driver when we get off the bus, and picking a fight instead of not getting upset is considered gauche. Yet we scream and cheer on the pro hockey players when they drop the gloves and throw hands. We have one of the smallest, yet most respected military and peacekeeping forces in the world. Canada is full of contrary behaviours, but overall we're pretty nice about it, eh?

WTF, you can smile in Russia. You're not under a Nazi rule that bans smiling or anything. And you can expect people to smile for a photo.

“If visiting during Ramadan you should be respectful, ” I understand what he’s saying here, that it’s disrespectful to eat in public during Ramadan, but you should *DEFINITELY* be respectful regardless of when (or where) you’re visiting! Be polite and be a decent human being to all and you’ll end up living a much happier life anyway

But crossing your fingers in Vietnam, means *F word* you, and you’ll get attacked, so avoid that

I'm Chinese, and I never heard of that rule before about leaving food on the plate. It's the exact opposite as there's a saying "every grain of rice is from the hard labour of others". I don't know where that saying came from but it's definitely not the mainstream thing to do.
