The Netherlands, often referred to as "insanely rich," owes its wealth to several key factors that have shaped its economy. One of the primary reasons is its strategic geographical location. Situated at the heart of Europe, the Netherlands has become a crucial hub for trade and logistics. The Port of Rotterdam, one of the world's busiest ports, facilitates significant trade flows, boosting the nation's economy.

The Dutch economy also benefits from a highly skilled and educated workforce. With a strong emphasis on education and innovation, the Netherlands has cultivated industries such as technology, finance, and pharmaceuticals. Dutch companies like Philips and ASML are global leaders in their respective fields, contributing to economic growth and stability.

Additionally, the Netherlands has a robust agricultural sector, known for its efficiency and innovation. Despite its small size, it is one of the world's largest exporters of agricultural products. Advanced techniques in farming and a focus on sustainability have enabled the country to maximize productivity.

Moreover, the Dutch government has implemented favorable business policies, creating an attractive environment for foreign investment. Low corporate taxes and a stable political climate encourage international companies to establish operations in the Netherlands, further stimulating economic activity.

In summary, the wealth of the Netherlands is a result of its strategic location, skilled workforce, innovative industries, efficient agriculture, and favorable business environment, making it one of the richest countries in the world.

The Dutch fishing industry is centred on huge factory trawlers that either use electric pulse that kills all the fish and those not required are discarded, they also 'hoover up with massive bottom harvesting nets that damage the sea bed, they do these anti environmental activities in British territorial waters. They have the licences still which should have been revoked after Brexit. Our fishing waters were and still could be a great resource for Britain, they grow tomatoes and salad veg with gas heating and pump CO2 into the hot houses so the tomatoes and other fruits grow fast but are completely tasteless. Just saying!
