Gordon’s pan is so expensive because it’s a kinda non-stick pan but you can use metal utensils with it without it being a health hazard

They're very different.The traditional Non stick pan used Teflon coating in order to prevent stickage but it's not good in conducting heat and could damage your health when used incorrectly.

Hexclad pan owner here. You have to season the pan with oil and it’s more hybrid than full non-stick, but you can get away with using metal utensils on them.

The hexclad's non stick will last longer and you can use metal utensils but is not as non stick as the all clad, however, if you're using butter or cooking oil, as you always should be, then the nonstick on the hexclad will be just as good.

It needs a little oil only because of the metal teeth that stick out preventing metal utensils from scraping the pan itself. For me, that would be ideal to use because I use oil anyways and every pan I get, my mother-in-law uses it and scrapes it up with scouring pads and scrubbers. No matter how much times I tell her not to. She’s very spiteful. So these pans would help with that too. So if it’s a tossup between using oil or buying new pans every two years, I will not worry about having to use oil. Ty for the vid im looking into getting some of these (maybe)😊

Hexclad pans need to be seasoned prior to use, which is why the customer is seeing food sticking to it in this video.
In any professional kitchen galley, all chefs and cooks understand that pans need this step to continue having nonstick use consistently, this is no different in a home cooks kitchen with their own pans such as the Hexclad line. Honestly, AllClad is a decent cookware as well.

For all the haters….
There is no pan in the world that you can throw food in without some sort of fat or oil to keep it from sticking. The benefits of this pan are you can use various material utensils with damaging the non stick coating. Also thermally, the pan is excellent at conducting heat evenly.
