At first everything about this set seemed great. The packaging was beautiful, the pan has was nice and shiny, had a beautiful glass lids with a metal perimeter, and the handles was extremely comfortable. (but the pan is a little heavy) Any nonstick pan is only as good as its non-stick performance. This has an odd honeycomb design laid down over the entire interior surface. It's attractive, but it's actually raised from the surface. It's not a perfectly smooth surface. The first thing I used it for, after washing it in some warm soapy water, was pan frying some chicken cutlets in vegetable oil. The lack of non-stick performance didn't really show itself. (but I had to spend 15 min cleaning the stains off the lip)
The next thing I tried to do was fry some eggs. Making sure per directions to pre-season pan before cooking.(it says to place oil in pan for 5 min on medium heat before cooking)
And then fried three eggs. This was not happening with this pan. All three eggs stuck firmly to the bottom. I was able to carefully get a spatula underneath two of the three and flip them over, but then the top half ended up sticking to the pan after that.
Then, a couple days later, with a nice clean pan, I made some pork sausage patties, yes, greasy ass pork, (pork rocks!) and put that into the pan and tried to get a nice sear on it. That basically happened, but every single piece was a fight to detach from this so-called non-stick surface, and flip over.
Do you have any idea how nearly impossible it is to get pork sausage to stick to a pan. It's very difficult. As you may imagine, pork creates its own non stick oils that make virtually everything a non-stick surface.

The real kicker to this whole thing is that I spent 1400+ for my set. That's crazy. and all it does is look pretty! I see it every time I reach for my old pan that cost me 59 bucks and still works better than these useless frying pans.

I would rather have- made in non stick - then made in the USA ...brag rights
Im so disappointed in Gordon suggesting these pans that I will never watch him again. lol
