CBS 2 News reporter Serene Branson may have suffered a possible stroke during a live on-air broadcast from the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on February 13, 2011.  Video footage shows Branson attempting to provide a report on the winners of the 2011 Grammys to CBS 2 Los Angeles.  During the clip, Branson is seen "struggling to speak" as she begins slurring words and, eventually, begins making "indecipherable sounds."

Published reports on February 14, 2011, speculated that Branson may have suffered a stroke during the broadcast.  Reports about Branson's condition indicated she did receive medical attention immediately.  London's "Daily Telegraph" newspaper reported that Branson was hospitalized following the incident.  Other reports say Branson was treated by medical personel and then "went home in care of a friend."

There was no immediate word from CBS 2 News on Branson's condition.

According to her official bio on the CBS 2 News website, Serene Branson is a Los Angeles, native, who has previously worked at the Sacramento, California, CBS affiliate station and at stations in Palm Springs and Santa Barbara, California.  During her career, Branson has been nominated for Emmy Awards twice.
