NASA's Kepler Mission Discovers Its Smallest 'Habitable Zone' Planets to Date

NASA's Kepler mission has discovered two new planetary systems that include three super-Earth-size planets in the "habitable zone," the range of distance from a star where the surface temperature of an orbiting planet might be suitable for liquid water.

Scientists do not know whether life could exist on the newfound planets, but their discovery signals we are another step closer to finding a world similar to Earth around a star like our sun.

One has to wonder if some other civilization has celebrated the detection of our planet as THEIR first discovery of a potentially habitable exoplanet. :)

I think every Earth-like planet that contains life has already a species that dominate the planet. Like the apes that we were in our early beginning of becoming intelligent. God, it would be nice to have a space ship and travel there to start a colony. :D
