Kepler Space Telescope End of Mission

Показать описание
The Kepler Space Telescope ended its nine-year extrasolar planet (exoplanet) discovery mission. NASA ended the Kepler mission after it ran out of fuel. Kepler discovered more than 2,600 exoplanets and discovered there are more planets than stars, and that our solar system is very different from most.

The lasting contribution will, of course, be that Kepler made us realize how common planets are. The engineering to keep it useful was inspired and very cool in its own right. Looking forward to what we're learning from Tess.

Your channel is very underrated, the way you explain complex things in a easily understandable summarized version, and above all very informative indeed.

Another golden video, love this Christian! There have got be some habitable planets out there, as Carl Sagan said “it sure would be a giant waste of space if there wasn’t”

Excellent work done by Kepler Telescope for followup universal study

Wow, I learn so much from you. Back in my school days, I knew that there were 9 plants and that's about all. Now, there's 8 planets and a search for planet 9 and over 2, 600 exoplanets out in other solar systems. My mind is blown!! 🤯 Keep up the amazing work!

I AM AMAZED !!! I just stumbled upon one of your you-tube channels just before this one, and as I am one that can-not get enough of, I say creation, and as you find out more about all of our 3rd dimension, I plan to stay abreast ...THANKS uh TON... !!!

what a great contribution Kepler gave to astronomy. excited now for more discoveries .🤞🤞

I remember decades ago when discovering exoplanets was incredibly hard until the launch of Kepler and then it saw hundreds in just a few years and now it discovered thousands both confirmed and yet to be confirmed.

2, 660+ and 2, 500+ planets 12% being in habitable zone in and around Orionspur
#622 habitable planets
Wish we work on them really soon

Great presentation! Nice property, too. Looks ideal for a personal observatory. Keep 'em coming

When should we see a Kepler 2.0 telescope?

Are planets whose orbits have a significant "tilt" able to be detected using the same method?

Kepler made s many exoplanet discoveries
But Kepler-186f and how it’s so earth-like, that it could be a new home for humanity
Long live Kepler’s legacy.

I love the positive attitude towards of the host. I was kind of sad to see Kepler go. When that telescope was launched it was a great time in my life. My and my twin watched it launch together. R.I.P twin.

Kepler K2, one of NASAs greatest hacks! TESS has to walk in big footsteps. Bye bye Kepler!

So long, and thanks for all the FISH :)

2:15 which doesn't account for planets orbiting in a vertical type orbit other than horizontal orbiting from our perspective.
