I'll be sad if this is the last content we get for civ vi - this has been my favorite of the main games so far

Babylon has a lot of potential to go early war. i think no matter what on this civ teching animal husbandry / mining is the go to. you want an early builder bc if you upgrade a pasture you unlock horses and if you build 3 mines you get apprencticeship (and potentially unlock wheels too). If you’re on a river with hills its GG.

With divine spark Babylon can also snag great scientists and writers soo much quicker, you instantly get +2 great person points off the bat with the first amphitheater and library, divine spark makes it +3. Also if you go coastal, building your harbor instantly gets you a lighthouse, giving you extra food, housing, AND the trade route. This civ will be dirty early game, its late game all depends on how you set yourself up (ie great library, research alliance, spies)

I think Babylon wants to build 2 campuses max for the associated Eurekas and to spam projects for Great Scientists and that's it. There's just too much of a penalty to build more. I think it's better to spam projects and generate lots of gold/faith to get Great People to get the boosts you need rather than invest in more Campuses. I agree this could be a really good Culture Civ because they can get some very strong Culture wonders VERY early like Eiffel Tower and Golden Gate bridge. They can also get a crazy early Ruhr Valley which will help immensely with building tons of other wonders.

100% culture Civ. Additionally to the points you’ve managed. Ur going Religion for sure(free shrine) and you can keep u with science through ability without building campuses

Imagining a civ with full civ boost and 50% culture gen: you met 3 city states and boom here is your tier 1 gov in turn 20s... I get a feeling that they will have to nerf Babylon by requiring prerequisite. It seems brokenly op to me. Looking forward to your game play video with Babylon.

It seems like you'll get steam rolled in the early game if you're Babylon's neighbor. They can beeline a unit so easily, and it seems really hard to stave off a crossbow assault in the ancient era. There's also the Rifleman beeline: build quarry then walls to unlock engineering, build aqueduct for Military Engineering and then build a Niter Mine and you have Rifleman. You also unlock Cavalry as soon as you unlock Knights basically. Medieval Era Cavalry seem strong. Also, it does seem like you can go culture victory with them, since you can boost Flight and Computers to unlock them really early.

I think you might have to be a bit careful with Babylon, if you do not have production defending from an attack could be rough, you have 3 archers and bam! only crossbows now. with that said you might have to go for early apprenticeship and IZ to get early production, and hope theres a good engineer. the instant tech is really cool, but it could put a wrench in your short term plans

Boost apprenticeship and industrialization and have broken mines turn 40

I was under the impression that you had to have the prerequisite tech researched to unlock a tech (even though your eureka gives 100 percent). Is that the case? because if it isn't, that would be really op.
