I grew up on a farm in the 70s as bad as it was then it seems worse now. In 74 we sold 20 acres of wheat, bought a new truck and had money left over. By the end of decade money was tight. My mom worked off the farm so we had insurance. She canned everything we grew on an acre garden and helped unload hay in the summer.

I grew up in the 70’s inflation was above 12 % and interest rate where 20%and somehow the boomer chicks had to put on there big boy pants on and ignore that in those days women were we’re totally treated unfairly and it actually made us more productive. Through the years that totally changed, I say they should be pissed at the prophesiers that sold them that bill of goods and the governments that stoled all their money through high tuition and the institutions that they were unrolled in, complaining will only keep them weak and needy

Can't forget the woman who kept the war effort going in WW2 as men were off fighting. They kept the home front going as well as building planes and other military hardware.

Correction: her wealthy husband bought that new home, not her.

The rents are over priced. The home owners should not be allowed to over rate their property to renters, just like they cant go get an equity loan if their house isnt worth that much. Its unfair that they are putting more than a fair price for housing. They are having the renters pay their whole mortgage plus their living expenses at this rate. Its horribly unfair

It’s not a surprise hearing complaints on how unfair or tough things are for the audience and influencers on Tik Tok, given that most of them mindlessly scroll and get indoctrinated for hours instead of putting in work to improved themselves. Too much proclaiming of victimhood and entitled demands of others, instead of advocating people to be heroes in their own lives and to serve others.

Paid my college loans by enlisting in the USAF (E-1). Sent 2 allotments home every month for 6 yrs. 40% of pay went to college loans. 20% of pay for a basic, no frills car (didn't even have arm rests).
After 6 yrs debt free and started working at the bottom of the corp. pay scale.
You have to work to make a middle class life.
Edit: The same percentages work, even today.

I can attest to this with my wife. She’s been sitting on her degree for 7 years and after Covid a TON of jobs opened up for her. We make a decent living combined but I’m 38 now and we want to buy a house but everything is ridiculous now.

Lol, these kids have no idea what high interest rates are. Who else remembers double-digit mortgage-rates?

When Americans decided it was a good idea to use cheap money to exploit the housing for maximum profits I knew the big players weren't far behind. What person didn't realize that the cycle of buying a non perishable commodity today and sell it for 10%-15% mark up in 4 to 5 months was going to lead to a housing bubble?

34, Married 10 years, 3 kids, Own home. Grew up in a low income home where utilities were routinely shut off. Many other millenials I know are in a similar situation. Just one mellenial's experience pertaining to this discussion.

Not sure what value Tomi Lahren brought to this discussion. Same old rhetoric on & on & on.

She paints the Martian penal colony. And Mr. Hand shares the pizza with the class much to Sean Penn’s chagrin. He wasn’t hungry anyway. Aeon Flux lead in 🤓

I think we have it pretty good. I think better than our parents and grandparents. We don’t have Great Depression, Vietnam war draft, we are all complaining in like 70 degree houses with smart phones and laptops streaming on like 10 different streaming sites, having the worlds knowledge in our hand that has more knowledge than Alexandria. It’s just housing in expensive cities but you can buy a nice house in fly over country. Food is expensive relatively but nothing our increased salaries can’t handle. My only complaint is the cost of college it has gone up 100% and more. I think education needs to be rehauled like remove all the frivolous degrees or make it so Fafsa and loans don’t cover them. Make loans contingent on roi for the student. Like the first entry level job salary should be more than the total loan.
