The XC90 is nearly 10 years old, but no one would ever know. XC60 is only a couple years younger but no one would ever know. They age so well.

A very sumptuous and plush car to drive for sure. I own the 2022 Volvo XC90 and it has performed flawlessly ever since I purchased it. Volvo always manufactures refined and powerful fuel-efficient vehicles.

Aw man, this reminded me of the good ole DM reviews. Pushing 80k for this is a little bit weird but the crystal shifter makes it worth it. Ironic how Charlie came back to Michigan to visit immediately after driving an Elantra N and IONIQ 5 N...

I love when Chris and Charlie get together. The videos just become more casual and sarcastic, which is exactly what a road trip should be.

I had a 2021 XC60 T5 R design with the 21” wheels. I now have a 2023 B6 Ultimate dark with the 22” wheels and air suspension. The larger wheels take away from the ride potential but it’s still impressive. It makes every other car feel like a wooden wagon. The seats are phenomenal on long trips. I surprisingly liked the older Volvo SENSUS on my 21’ but the google nav can’t be beat. My 2023 is thunder gray with the dark trim and I replaced all badging on the back with gloss black. I’ve never had more positive comments from strangers on any vehicle I’ve owned. I’ve loved both of my Volvos. These videos you guys do have made me appreciate the steering 😂 I wish it could be alittle heavier at speed but at low speed it’s phenomenal. I hope to see a refresh for 60/90 before my lease comes due in 2026. Keep up the great work! I’ve watched every Volvo video end to end. IYKYK all day long with these cars!!!

Nobody ever mentions this. But, Volvos have adjustable steering wheel drive settings. You can adjust the “feel” of the steering wheel to your liking through the “car settings” in the center console. You can choose from light upward to stiff steering mode.
Other never mentioned gems are the glove box cooling feature (it keeps my water bottle nice and cool during long summer drives) and the laptop/tablet storage on each side, below the rear seat.

I am on my third Volvo. All of them have been spectacular roadtrip cars. They've all been basically the same car lol, but actually have had different seats. 21 V60 Polestar Engineered had the R-Design seats. 22 S60 had the base model seats. 24 V60 Cross Country has the Ultimate seats. All 3 are great for long periods without making you feel tired or fatigued.

the noise you are hearing at 14:30 is from the cooled seats turned on max. if you dial it down to 2 or 1, it gets significantly quieter

Apparentley cars are soo much cheaper in America than europe, in switzerland a fully loaded XC60 T8 costs around 108k, which is around 120'000 dollars!! Thats not even a Polestar trim level.

Thx for this video……referencing the wind noise at highway speed, I’ve heard that on another video I watched on the xc60. It is said that it appears when you’re going 70 mph. Wonder if it’s a design issue?

the back and forth banter between yall throughout the stops is great lmfao it reminds me of when my 3 friends and i road tripped 3 hrs to Thunder hill raceway for a trackday in a 4-seater supercharged toyota solara😭😭 good times

To open the car from the back you do a kick motion below the left/middle parking sensor.

Just test drove the black edition recharge and loved it. All of the ones I saw for 76k had the bowers and Wilkins sound system, air suspension, and the massage seats. I have a 2022 and love it but it’s only the mild hybrid. Looking to upgrade now.

Your “Hey Google” was good enough to trigger my Nest Hub to navigate to Ann Arbor. So it must have been disabled. 31:24

@28:56, it didn't open because 1. you have to do a fast ish kick under the middle, and 2. have the key be near enough the car
