Hi Dwain I bought your rainbird esp-me3 controller. Do you need to put a battery in incase the power goes out? It says only need battery if no power hookup is available. thanks Bret

I have a RainBird 150efbcp that is connected to an A421 PENN temperature controller which is connected to my natural mineral water well. When the temperature reaches a low, it opens my rainbird valve and adds the hot water to my pool until the temperature is at the set degrees.
I would ike to have this wireless access through the rain bird controllerl
any thoughts?

Is there any big difference between ESP-ME and ESP-ME3 or is it just on preference of controller layout ?

I have to assume the ESP-ME3 is the newer mode ?
