you can also save the game, wait for it to say "save complete, " change the time, go back into the game and then play normally

another tip: the homescreen is touch screen. using ur finger is way faster than the controller

So true. You don’t always have to close the software, otherwise you’ll have to wait for the game to auto save before closing the software or waste some extra time with the “save & quit” before closing the software. Returning to the title screen actually soft-reloads the game, and thankfully we can just change the time and/or date, but MUST return to the title screen (whilst saving progress for the time being) in order for the time-travel to be effective.

I'd recommend saving then closing the game (push x then a) before doing so

just save, wait for the jingle, do this, let it load and then just continue playing like normal. way easier because you have a cue as to when you can go and change the time & date.
