Leveling the Cleric villager up to expert is actually quite easy. Just trade all your rotten flesh with it. It is a very common item, and it can give you emeralds, which 5 of them can give you an ender pearl.

Edit: This basically means that two and a half stacks of rotten flesh will give you one ender pearl in case if you have excessive amounts lol

wrapped forest have always made it pretty simple for me.

if you get a pretty open area, you can see 4 or more endermen pretty much at all times with just a few steps.

not some auto farm, but very vaiable to get to the end

Actually levelling the cleric villager is used in many speed runs.mainly in the pre 1.16 categories. It has been used to set a world record even when tower strats where a thing.

Warped forest gives most reliable source of pearls... Until the Endermen are all dead, which you then gotta wait ages for them to spawn more before you grt more pearls. Meanwhile the villager can give you more pearls overall over the course of one world 's lifespan. Because sure, endermen in a warped forest with looting gives you 3-6 pearls a minute, but that's only as long as endermen are there, and after maybe 10 minutes, all of them would be dead. So you'd have 30-60 pearls, then waiting a few minecraft days for a few to spawn again. And yeah thats enough for an end portal, but if you are talking about just pearls themselves, you might get 6 per minecraft day, in the safety of the overworld, without risks of the nether or needing to fight endermen for 10 minutes every hour or so, hoping you don't die cuz you get so focused on killing the endermen you font realize you are gonna die til its too late. And you might die on your way back to your portal home as well. Meanwhile, getting villagers or even living nearby a village, you get fewer pearls at a time, but way more efficiently over a long period of time and safer to do than going to the nether any time you want more pearls, and then risking dying during the hunt or on the way vack from the hunt, including the risk of falling in lava you didn't know was there as you are running back to the portal. So, yeah. Stick to villagers

If you push the game to its limits and fill the entire render distance with piglins trading gold I'm sure you could get pearls faster than any other method

Well i do the cleric one and it's easy
First: Craft a Fletching Table and a stine cutter in case these type of villagers aren't in the village
Two: get emeralds from mason and fletcher villagers
by getting 10 clay balls to trade with a mason and 32 sticks to trade with the fletcher.
Third : Just use those emeralds to level up the cleric till he becomes ecpert by trading your emeralds for redstone and Lapis and if you don't like bartering use your gold to trade for emeralds with him once he's level 2 (since 3 gold ingots gets you 1 emerald).
Third: When you get him to level 4 just trade 5 emerald for every ender pearl.
This process is better than trying your luck by trading or killing enderman and more straight-forward

The tower strat is very effective too, and is sometimes used in pre 1.16 speedruns: build up like 40 blocks, dig a hole at the bottom, look at some endermen, they will fall into the hole, then drop a tnt at all the endermen whilst holding a looting sword and youre done

you can easily level the claric to master with a fletcher, you can do it in like10 minutes if you start right before/during the night

Well the reason people do outline in speed running is because you have a higher chance to get more pearls if more piglins are in a hole. So, they use the bastions to get a lot of gold and then trade with the piglins.

When u want tons of pearls for a record, just trade for pearls, if all of them ran out, make a chunkloader, and go fight enderman, whilst ur autbartterer runs and gold farm, or just make a farm in the end :/

Simple. 1. Go to the Nether. 2. Find a Warped Forest _(Endermen spawn excessively there)_ 3. Build a 2-block-tall roof _(Endermen can't get you, Steve is short)_ 4. Stare many black men in the eyes. They'll get mad at you for supposed racism, then you can kill 'em for pearls once they bump into your roof.

Those percentages for pearl trades are in the current version, if you are playing 1.16 (the most common version for speed running) then the pearl trades are much more common and in much larger batches
