Imagine the potential of a Lego Middle Earth game...

All 6 Jackson films in one game.

One gigantic full-scale open world with next-gen graphics and processing power.

Proper sword-and-shield combat building off the foundation of Skywalker Saga.

Rosters of character classics, all with unique abilities.

I really hope something like this is at least being considered

I think the "limited" roster had mostly to do with the fact that that the game took most of its material from the films. They did include a few characters who only appeared, or were only of significance, in the books, like Tom Bombadil and DLC exclusives like Glorfindel and Prince Imrahil. Of course, the films themselves only had three books to draw from, and Tolkien didn't include nearly the amount of incidental characters in his books that J.K. Rowling did in hers. DC, Marvel, and Star Wars also had the advantage of having a lot more material to draw from.

This is one of few Lego games I’ve not played. Never been a massive fan of LOTR but I might have to try the game out.

Im also suprised how they made a bonus level for Sauron (where you get sended to a tiny Middle Earth map and you gotta get 1M studs which unlocks him and his envoy Mouth of Sauron). Plus i was laughing once i got Sauron just because he can literally can one shot every enemy in the game 💀.

If they plan to remaster the game it will be best to add The Hobbit trilogy into it as well so you’re able to explore the entire of Middle-Earth, make the gameplay exactly the same as the Lego LOTR and not Lego The Hobbit as that just took way too much of our time and it didn’t feel as enjoyable as Lego LOTR, although with character creation they should add each of the race with their unique trait, such as hobbit: crawl thru tunnels and cook (like Sam), dwarves: crawl thru tunnels/ smash cracked bricks, elves: high jump/ shoot while running or riding on horse back, wizard: levitate bricks/ shoot beams/ project shield.

Skywalker saga open world is really great but the levels lack so much. They are short and there is too much forced lego humor in the dialogs (ofc some is good and I appreciate all the easter eggs)

I think that Lego TLOR has advantage over The Skywalker Saga because it re-enacts events of just 3 movies and because of this can better reproduce atmosphere of the trilogy.

I loved this game, but one problem… no playable fully armored Uruk-Hai, as far as I remember, I was just a kid 😂

I remember playing with my sisters and we would play as the armor smith and gollum as if he was a pet

The hobbit had a better ability to use the ring everywhere

Yeah this game was amazing, I also remember the open world being absolutely massive for the time, you could walk across the entire map without any loading screens

Lego the hobbit was amazing it's size was massive in the world things you could do. As i remember you actually had quests outside the story, just in free roam. Alas they had to ruin it by not finishing the game, never they brought forth the battle of the five armies dlc, and it puts a rift in me going back to it. I'd love playing it again, but that stains it.
