My husband and I had this same charger 500... 383 4 bbl. Paid $4800 in Dec 1970. I still remember that high-pitched whine when cranking. Ours was dark green with a black vinyl roof and dark green interior. We both loved the tall front seats.Wish we had kept her as she was HOT. A truly beautiful work of art. Miss her still today. Take good care of this baby!!!

318 in my opinion was a good motor for everyday driving. I had a duster with a 318 and a shortbed 4x4 dodge truck with a 318 and both ran really well. They weren't power houses but a to b it's dependable.
