Had a buddy in the early '70's with a '68 Charger R/T in the Green with a green vinyl top. Sounded very similar and was faster than hell!

I had my first ride in a ‘69 GTX 3-carb 440 with the pistol-grip 4 speed, by a friend who had bought one. At first glance, it looked to big to move fast. Man, did I change my mind! HOLY BAPTISMAL WATER! When the clutch was dropped, the car felt like it was floating across the pavement. I glanced back, and there was a huge plume of smoke with squirrely looking tire tracks. Once it gained traction, it felt like a train had hit us in the back.

My daddy was a drag racer back in Ohio, and our family car was a 68 RT, 440 engine, positraction with the paint that was like metallic Coca Cola. I was 4 years old when mom took me and my little brother to pick it up at the factory. I learned to drive on that fire breathing dragon, sad that it's rotted away in mom's barn. Loved that car so much
