How To Fix NVIDIA Display Settings Are Not Available Error (Easy Solution)

In this video we will see how to fix Nvidia display settings are not available on your pc. What is nvidia display settings? Nvidia display settings lets you change display resolution,manage multiple monitors/display and more(it’s display manager/ graphics card configurationsoftware for nvidia hardware). This solution will work on Windows Vista,Windows 7,Windows 8, Windows 8.1,Windows 10 and Windows Server(32-bit and 64-bit versions). If you are on desktop make sure your monitor is connected(connected with hdmi/dvi/vga/usb c) to discrete graphics card(gpu). These types of most problem appears on laptops(Dell,hp,asus,acer,lenovo,optimus,alienware,msi) with integrated graphics card(dual configuration onboard intel graphics card and other nvidia or radeon). Sometimes these error(Nvidia display settings are not available you are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU/nvidia display settings are not available an nvidia graphics card was not detected in your system,nvidia control panel not working,nvidia display setting stopped working,nvidia display settings problem,nvidia gpu not detected) appear in virtual and remote desktop connection if Nvidia drivers are not properly installed. Even egpu(external gpu) can show this error if you don’t connect it properly. In this video we are going to use device manager to disable and enable nvidia display adapter to fix this issue(this method generally solves graphics detection problem if it’s software related problem like auto detect graphics card). If first solution does not work we are going to reinstall nvidia graphics/display/video driver(reset drivers) to fix this problem, just install geforce experience and select reinstall driver in drivers options.

Follow these simple steps to fix Nvidia display settings are not available On Your PC
1) Open File Explorer
2) Right click on This PC(My Computer) and select properties
3) Click on Device Manager
4) Open Display Adapter Option
5) Right click on your Nvidia adapter and select properties
6) Click on Driver
7) Click on Disable Device
8) Click on Yes
9) Click ok
10) Open Device Manager again
11) Right click on your Nvidia adapter and select properties
12) Click on Driver
13) Click on Enable Device
14) Click OK
15) Now Open Nvidia Settings
METHOD 2- REINSTALL NVIDIA DISPLAY DRIVERS
1) Open your web browser
2) Search Geforce Experience
3) Open official Geforce Experience link
4) Click Download
5) Save File
6) Close Your Web Browser After Download Finishes
7) Install Geforce Experience
8) Click on drivers
9) Click on current driver options
10) Select Reinstall Driver
11) Select Express Installation
12) Click Close
13) Now Open Nvidia Display Settings
Done! Problem Solved

Turns out I had my monitor plugged into the motherboard graphics port. Switched it to the graphics card and problem solved. Note: this only applies to tower cases, not laptops. Hopefully this will help others having this problem.

So i downloaded Geforce Experience - on there it detects my Geforce755 as well as it does everywhere else, but it doesnt Run on it. it Uses some microsoft shit integrated graphic - AND it still wont let me open up the Geforce Controlepanel due to lack of a "geforce gpu" as it says.

ATTENTION if your getting this and if you habe a monitor with vga only all you have to do is buy vga to hdmi converter and you will be good since ge force cards only support new cables especially hdmi so thats why it wont work with vga cable itself

Potential fix here!



Just posting this on the most popular video I found on the issue.


So basically none of the most popular fixes worked for me and I finally found my own rather uncommon solution so I'm just posting this to potentially help even one person out.
I tried reinstalling all the drivers and restarting the background apps and services but it didn't work.


Basically what worked for me was re-enabling the secondary graphics card "device"


I have an ASUS laptop and a while back photoshop rolled out an update which always chose the integrated-graphics card by default.
The solution back then was to just disable the Intel graphics card as a means to force photoshop to choose the nVidia card.


I had forgotten about it and as soon as I re-enabled the Integrated Intel Graphics Card device the nVidia control panel came back up again as well.


Photoshop fixed the issue with having 2 cards on a laptop.


I know this is super-specific but I hope it helps just one of you maybe.
