As someone that's heated with wood for 45 years. Hand splitting the first 30 years. I can say that processor is a beautiful thing.

Firewood cutting is another one of those things that I have no need for but find watching it quite fascinating. Anybody that has Clint cheering for them is a lucky person indeed.

Wow, that's absolutely true. Work requires effort AND time, and sometimes, the work isn't worth the expenditure in time. It took me a lot more orbits around the sun than it did you to learn that, (because I'm cheap, and don't get to sleep very much anyway), but you have to balance between effort and time, and I think you made an excellent choice. (And I've seen videos of "firewood processors" since the dark days before YouTube, and have always found them interesting to watch, from a "how does this work" perspective.) Thanks for the video, and take care.

To your question “is a firewood harvester worth it?” Absolutely no doubt. Saves your body from wear and tear. Second it’s faster and lastly it takes care of the weight.

Cap’n this makes perfect sense for you. But, Nana doesn’t think I need a Skid Steer and my baby backhoe is too small.

I like how it works… just can’t make it work for me. I guess I’ll have to stick with Frankensplitter for a while longer… 😟

You can't beat hydraulics to make efficient use of your time !!!
Having Logger Wade just down the road is very handy, time efficient and supports the local economy too, although the woodmizer did make some good videos.
Back scratching is probably the best way to either borrow or pay for services rendered, both people get what they need without going to the bank 👍😁

Great demonstration and explanation. On top of that you could most likely cut that right into the back of a dump truck.

I got the agrotek processor. Not as easy to operate but still saves so much time and effort

I like your philosophy on borrowing. If you can't reciprocate in some manner then don't borrow.

Splitting time....that is the hard thing. Gotta work in the most efficient way you can. You're killing it man....keep at it.

Here in Britain firewood is expensive ( in fact the cost is a pxxs take ) and not easy to come by at source unless you’re a big land owner or in the tree surgery/land clearance trade. I’d say your investment is well worth it especially as you have access to free logs, not to mention it’s a beautiful piece of machinery. Your barter system with your friends and community is a system I feel we should all return to, a great traditional method of trading and helping each other out 👍 Excellent as always Mike 👍 Best wishes from Britain 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

Capt'n, It sure gives you plenty of smiles per hour of use.
I would add a labor and back saver. You let the machine to the heavy lifting.

With the mention of Hydraulics for the 755, I realized what a forward thinking guy you really are Kleeman! It's like you're playing CHESS, and just showing (dribbling out) the CHECKERS ! Great video (and use and explanation of the value of TIME !!!!
