"We noted yesterday that Mitt Romney's selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as his vice-presidential nominee could spell trouble down the ballot, and now Politico and the Hill report today that Republican strategists are privately fretting about the choice...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Ask Romney/Ryan if their proposed Medicare Plan is so Marvelous for individuals under 55 years of age, why can't Seniors take advantage of it? It is Marvelous isn't it?

Nicely put! This reformed Republican agrees with you. Voting for Romney would be biting off our noses to spite our faces!

Your little rant is probably going to be my new sig file. You did a wonderful job encapsulating the situation. What astounds me is how few people seem to see the obvious facts. When we see this sort of thing in other countries we have no difficulty seeing it as the absence of freedom.

Gah, what would I do without you TYT? Thank you so much for keeping me informed. Every day, you guys do a public service by exposing numb nuts like Ryan, Romney, and on occasion, even Obama. Keep doing what you do and you'll always have a strong TYT Army.

You're kidding? Rich people have lawyers and loopholes to get out of paying taxes.

I found when I moved to the States for my senior year of high school in Virginia that a fair number of those I spoke to (both eligible students and staff), vote for a particular party on the grounds that their parents/grandparents vote for that party, not because they know what the platform is.

The term 'greed' is really abused here.
If Donald Trump (for example) wants to make another billion dollars, he goes and builds an inner city skyscraper, hires 1000 construction workers, engineers etc and gets the job done.
Thousands of jobs & new housing vacancies are created in the name of 'greed'.
If you regulate against 'greed' - obviously there will be a lot less jobs and lot less affordable places to live.

True. Taxes should be on consumption & waste and not of production & savings.
This simple principle can fix a big chunk of society's problems.

As Cenk's pointed out before, there's a difference between capitalism and UNRESTRAINED capitalism.

Once a genius man said, "unless you are corrupt, you cant be a successful politician".

Who was that genius? Me.

That's apt. I was thinking they were going for the "reasonably handsome rich guys" ticket.

How could polls possibly show a change between now and when Ryan was chosen? It's only been a few days. Polls do not shift that quickly.

If Romney truly hasn't paid his taxes in 10 years, he would have been arrested by now. His corporation pays millions in taxes, I don't know why you think they don't.
I'm nore concerned about the way the economy is headed, rather than if Romney's $10+ million tax bill is enough or not.
