Dead Silence is an absolute masterpiece, I am so glad I watched it. It was very well made!

Dead Silence gave me never ending nightmares as a child. It came out when I was 8. The commercials on tv for it alone was enough to scar me. I couldn't bring myself to actually watch it until I was 15/16

There's a TLDR at the bottom if you don't have time, I gotcha.

The protag, Jamie, gets a doll, named Billy as a present from an anonymous source, One day, upon coming back from work, he finds his wife dead and with her toungue cut out, Billy is in a box that says something about Mary Shaw, so he goes ahead and tries to find her.

He ends up back in his hometown, his dad, who is very rich, has a very young wife named Ella, tells him everything is bs since Shaw is long dead, but he will pay for the funeral.

Turns out a kid named Micheal had dishonored Mary as a ventriloquist saying he could see her lips move during an act, which made her loose her prestige, later, the kid went missing and his family was sure it was Shaw's fault, so they killed her, and when she tried to scream, they cut her toungue out, Jamie discovers she only kills you when you scream.

All the while, a detective is sure Jamie killed his wife, and he is chasing him down, a friend Jamie had made calls both of them to the theater Shaw used to perform in claiming he has proof of Jamie's innocence, they show up and find all the puppets Mary had, Billy included, and Henry (Jamie's friend) turns out to have become a puppet too, they are greeted by a puppet of Micheal, who Mary did kill, and he explains he is Jamie's great uncle and Mary want's revenge against his bloodline, the reason she killed his wife is because she was pregnant, and that Mary was killed before she could finish "the perfect puppet".

Jamie is devasted, they start getting attacked and the whole place is set on fire, just when they are about to get out the detective falls and screams, so Mary's spirit kills him.

Jamie makes it back to his childhood home and finds Billy is there somehow, so he sets the doll on fire and tries tells everything to his dad... only to find out his dad has been dead all along, and was a puppet, Ella shows up and it turns out Mary DID get her perfect puppet, and it was Ella, who looked young, beautiful and very human, horrified, Jamie can't hold back a scream and she kills him, in the end, getting her revenge against everyone in Micheal's bloodline.

Tldr: puppet kills wife, man goes to his dad, then kills puppets, turns out dad was a puppet and man gets killed.

Only a question to everybody here. Have you seen the movie 'the conjuring' if you have seen It witch scene did scare you most? Mine was wen lorane fell down to the basement and saw the woman that k*lled her kid and the girl that ha*gd her self! Go watch it now its so good and if you like demons and legends go watch it! And did you know annabel the doll annabel! is coming from The conjuring and in the first scenes in the movie you see annabel scenes

The scene where she licks off the protagonists face is revolting as heck but that who scanerio is so freaking spooky.
