Hi Ms. Victoria, I'm happy to announce that I'm already singing with my unique voice, yet when I'm singing a solo, I still have the style in mind, but with my voice!

More than one of the fine singers I've known advised me that one should sing with one's own voice. I suspect modifying your sound to 'be' someone else might not be good for the voice if you don't do it carefully. Maybe like pushing the larynx down to sound like an operatic baritone or pulling the larynx up to your ears to sound like Freddie Mercury? Or maybe just altering your formants go get a different sound which might be easily done or sustainable? Another good video. Thanks.

BYAM : this is a great exercise. Thank you. I signed up and was doing your tenor exercises for 3 years. By then they were memorized; (duh). Still a L-O-N-G way to go but the range has improved from less than 2 octaves to F2 - F5. You are the best! THANKS!

Victoria, question, who, in your opinion, in history alive or dead, had a good balanced voice? Thank you in advance, and thank you for all your great instructions

I realize more and more now that I seem to have trouble with fast-paced, more aggressive songs, as my larynx tends to raise and thus I tense up.

I went through the exercises and I still don’t know how to tell where my voice is. I did all of the octaves.

It‘s so very Hard for me to know if i‘m actually on pitch and hitting the Note, any advice on how to check? I sometimes feel like i‘m Tone deaf.
Are There any Apps or something That Listen to my Voice and Tell me if i‘m Right?

Important information ℹ️

As experienced singer and Ex rapper.
I agree all given information through the video' but the fact somewhat video is confusing.

There's no point of identity your original vouce more than some practical practice and classical exersise that's not important for modern singers.

How to identify your own voice?
Before ask yourself what is your current vocal range ?

Majorly there two type of vocal range :- high-pitch and low-pitch also you can say soft voice or syllabus.

High pitch often following in Opera, theatre, classical performance, Rock, trap metal, japanese rock music etc.

Low pitch or aoft tone often following in modern genre' like pop, R&B, jazz, EDM, Pop-R&B, lofi etc.

Here's your clarification,
Now ask yourself what is your genre' type ?
For example I'm popper and pop/ R&B musician.

I would follow soft vouce, low pitch and chest singing style instant of head or diagram like opera or classical.
My genre' consider for medium range and soft voice like
(The weekend, jungkook, theyang from NCT, bruno mars)
They are not high pitch artist but atill famous.
They sing throw chest and pronounce mouth roof.

So on why don't you sing the same way according to your own genre' is requiring you.
Without copying anybody or hybrid your voice.
Start with small humming.

If you practice Rock song as pop musician,
You will face the same vocal damage problematic.

I request every singer,
Before following any tips why don't you identify your own genre'?

As for this video'
Only help you to improve voice
