It's not just iOS and Android you can connect both Android or iOS to a pc. Since using a VPN can simulate local play if you use one like "zero tier one" VPN you can put that VPN on the mobile device and your pc and then play with mobile players I play with my friend who lives 4 states away he uses phone and I use pc and it runs surprisingly well.
