How to Record Sound from YouTube

I'm learning how to animate and I'm desperate for a way to get audio, so I hope this works.

Usually Audacity is my go-to for recording things from Youtube, but recently I ran into a problem where the music is clearly more echoey in audacity when compared to the music on youtube

Question: How do you use footage from other Youtube videos and put them in your youtube videos without them sounding like they were recorded in the bathroom?

My audacity only records my voice, but not youtube audio. Help please.

So are you just recoding the sound from your desktop speakers with your mic and messing with the compression/noise reduction? Wouldn't it just be easier and sound better to convert the video into audio and then splice it or is the whole point of this to bypass youtubes copyright system?

thanks, this was easy, CEPro was recording from the mic for some reason I couldn't figure out.
