I have got Jason Bourne on 4k and that has a DTS X soundtrack! My Denon Avrx 2400 receiver, upscales most sound tracks to DTSX and I prefer it to Dolby Atmos up scaling! Much more dynamic sounding! I am loving your channel Chris! Keep up the good work!

Hey Chris! I am a big fan of DTS also. DTS-X soundtracks make my system sound like the multiplex. I have the same IMAX enhanced movies! Bad Boys For Life is a great DTS-X IMAX enhanced disc. Man I wish more would come out! Venom would be awesome! Have a great evening man. Great video man!

This is great information for those who were too young to remember AC-3. I remember my first DVD player had the preamp outputs and I bought a separate AC-3 decoder ; ) Now fast-forward to present day, if anyone would try say 16 speakers, how would that be connected? does that mean 16 outputs to amps? It's too bad the most speakers I can accomodate in my space is 5.2.2

I've never been a fan of DTS. Great atmospherics, but to me Dolby has always sounded more dynamic and bass heavy. We recently watched Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle encoded with Dolby Atmos and then Jumanji: The Next Level encoded with DTS:X, and it was a night and day difference. The sequel just sounded flat without cranking everything, while the Dolby Atmos track on Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle literally made the room flex. To each their own, I suppose.

I’ve thought DTS sounded better. Right now I have my PS5 set to output DTS. The games sound amazing upscaled to DTS X Neural.

I like Dolby Atmos but I noticed DTS was louder. Which I thought was cool. I definitely don't have room for 32 speakers. I'm trying to and some heights possibly 🤔
