Something in the YouTube algorithm actually worked. Your video popped up on my main page...and glad it did. Great work, can't wait for more of your content

Yeah and you would need about 3 external 7 channel power amplifiers

I think the addition of Top Middle Speakers might actually be a good thing for a bigger room. It would make panning Sound over your head transition more smoothly and might actually allow the 30° angle Placement for Ceiling Speakers more useful than it is now. Right now the 40-45° elevation angle is key for good Overhead effects, but if you have Top Middle, then you can stretch out the Ceiling Speaker layout a lot more and have a more convincing overhead effect.
Of course...content makers will have to step up and actually use the available potential...

To answer the question you posed btw...I currently have 7.2.4 Speakers and that's what I am staying with...but I ordered the Denon X6700 and might potentially try how 7.2.6 would work in my room...

DTS X Pro is simply a true object based surround for home theater. Unlike Dolby Atmos, which is object based for both home and cinema, DTS X was truly object based only for cinemas. The pro version makes home DTS X object based instead of channel based with top channels.. Also, DTS uses higher bit rate than Dolby, so to get X Pro you must have a high end AVR like Denon X6700H.

I currently have a 5.1.2 set-up, but plan the get the Denon AVR-X6700H and the Emotiva BasX A3 for the front and centres, plus two Emotiva BasX A4's to power 4 Atmos, and the rear and side effects channels, so my goal will be, 7.2.4, with good power amps. this will be more than enough for me.

I have 7.1.4 but I will like to expand to 7.2.6 with last two mounted for Auro 3D (hight center and overhead VOG). Unfortunatly receivers capable of AURO 13 channels are still too expensive.

So i just bought this New Marantz DTS Pro Atmos AVR 30.2.4 and took me 3 Full days but finally got everything all 36 speakers up and running. The OSD is Nuts!! 34 Separate channels, along way from 5.1 hahaha

I have nine pairs of speakers in my den now I can’t see add anymore speakers. plus with a vaulted ceiling I will lose a lot of the Atmos effect.!! I have always been a huge Klispcsh fan.. I have three pair of RF 3 ..one Pair of RP5 one pair rf35 And a few other pair of vintage Klispcsh 2.2 . Powered by Onkyo Avr805 And a separate five channel 125 Watts amplifier I’ve had this systems over 10 years now looking to upgrade the AVR seriously thinking about the Marantz 8015 The first thing to be changed out Will be the subwoofer .. looking at the SVS ported 13 .5 I would love to hear your opinion on SVS subs with the Marantz AVR

Technically, you're correct. However, to clarify there aren't currently any consimer AVR's or pre-pro's that support anywhere near that many speakers.

So, doesn't matter how many amps you buy, you won't get 30 individual object based "discrete" channels even if unit supports dtsx pro.

Best I've seen is some Denon & Marantz new models that have dtsx pro, and supporting up to 13 channels.

I'm sure we'll eventually see more support for a lot more channels from these units in the future though.

If I'm thinking about my stereo speakers, which are about 3 metres apart, they can produce sounds that appear in front of me with a virtual positioning accuracy of about 2cm (2 inches), which is as accurate as anyone needs, surely. So, when considering 3D sound, for 30 speakers, you'd need a big room to notice the difference from 15 speakers. What do you think about the 3 metre rule (I just made up)?

This is the info I was looking for on dts pro, as I am considering the Marantz 7015 vs the Denon x6700h. I'm pretty settled on the Marantz, it doesn't have dts x pro, not as many channels as the Denon nor quite as much amp per channel power but I'm running a 5.2.4 with an Emotiva 5 channel so I prefer the build and look of the Marantz. Good vid, subscribed.

Thank you for the drop K Paceguy, I do not think it would be practical in the current space that I have to cram more than my 5.2.4 system. I think a lot of enthusiasts that have limited space and configuration are still interested in the precise location of those objects of sound. I do hope that for us ( in the limited space market) won’t be left behind and companies can concentrate on adding to the experience without the need for 13 speakers and still give us that cinema experience. I think there is a threshold were you can have a certain amount of speakers with which get to that level of inmersión without going to such extremes. If you have that kind of space and volume to fill God bless you and hopefully they will share their theaters on you tube so we can experience them. I still go to a large theater and stadium to go beyond what I can experience at home but I get the most satisfaction when I can bring it home, stay safe everybody!!

Could you get a whiteboard and draw out the layout of how the speakers will be hooked up in DTS x pro with 30 or 32?

Are there any 4k BluRay's with DTS-X Pro???

I'd just add 4 more elevation speakers even if you could do 30.2...

Most already have a hard enough time doing DTS 7.1 :)

Hey man, I'm a fellow AVM 70 owner. Do you know if DTS:X Pro has been enabled on it yet?
