DTS Headphone:X Immersive Sound Check Demo

Demonstration of simulated 11-channel (7.1.4) immersive surround sound from a standard pair of headphones. This quick demo clip from DTS does an 11-channel sound check to simulate 3D spatial sound with height channels from a standard pair of headphones.

Everything sounds spot on except for the rear height channels. It seems like its still pretty hard to get those emulated accurately.

Just remember that YouTube can only play in stereo. The illusion of Surround is in how it's played.

Are the "right" voiced sections lower pitched sounding for you guys or is it channel imbalance on my IEMs? I swapped my IEMs left for right and the "right" voiced sections still sound a bit lower in pitch, so it isn't my hearing that is imbalanced

Why is DTS so quiet, though? I have Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS Headphones X and the other DTS one. I bought them all (edit: Not Windows Sonic Audio, of course, since it's free)
I have my amps (motherboard "dual OP amps") cranked to extreme in the Realtek audio console. SSIII tuned in.

DTS is just.. half as loud as Dolby Atmos. Both give the same spatial sounds in this YT demo.

Y'all should work on that. Plus, Dolby Atmos has a console/app that actually has options. Movie, Game, Music, Voice and within each one there are 3 preset equalizers and one neutral one.

Not to mention on the gaming one, there's a special option for pure directional processing.
