I did this on my 2014 Nissan. The bottle says it is safe for plastic. Great tip about raising the front of the car to make sure the liquid gets to the rear drains. I used a turkey baster and some 3/8” clear tubing and snaked the tubing to the rear corners. Worked great.

Could not find a thing on my E70 BMW X5 sunroof drain problem. Was a little iffy on trying this but after reading the comments here from others "I said what the heck"!! My wife's Lesxus had become an E300 Swampmaster when the sunroof started draining into the cabin. I watched many videos on YouTube telling how to unclog the front drains, but this was not helping. Our driveway is sloped so that water runs to the rear and I knew clogged rear drains were the problem. I found your video and flawless victory! It happened exactly like you documented. Nothing at first, a tiny drip, and then it opened up. Now both of the rear drains are clear! Thanks for the tip about pouring the two chemicals separately. That is important to activate the foam down near the clog.

Worked. And for the two front drains. While it was sitting. I got a weed whacker string and stuck it inside the drain that helped too

It says it's safe for plastic but I'd still rinse it real well afterwards. Also good to maintain those drains and pour some hot water through it every 4 to 6 months or so to make sure it's draining and clear out any junk.
