So if you’re new to investing or you aren’t sure what an ETF index fund actually is, let’s start there first:

Think of an ETF as a huge basket of stocks that you can buy into and when you do you own a bit of all of the stocks.

It actually reminds me of a place me and my family visited last month and that was the Crayola Experience in Orlando Florida.

They had a wall of Crayons you can select. All types of colors and styles. Think about this as the stock market with all of those individual stocks. Sure we could’ve purchased all of these individual stocks OR

For a smaller price they had a bundle of the Crayons in one of the famous Crayola Boxes that you could buy.

Just like the stock market, ETFs are like the Crayola Box. An assortment of various different stocks!

Then there are types of indexes that you can invest in. There is an index for just about everyone based on what you are most passionate about:

So I’m sharing my TOP 5 ETF Funds which I’ll break down why they are so good, how much they cost, and how you can get started.

ETFs in my opinion come with more advantages over Mutual Funds including potentially less fees, easier to buy in any brokerage app and retirement accounts, and so on.

SCHX VOO and SPY are the same funds from different companies! All great ETFs but lots of overlap! Great video for beginners

Does it make sense to have a mixture of Mutual Funds and ETFs?

I don't plan to work until I'm 68 years old. That seems like a waste of youth. Invest early "retire" early. This stuff should be taught in middle school but we know why it isn't 😆

It's Justin(aka the Cooking Dojo). I am trying out a new plan using ETFs to help out with some projects of mine, and I remembered your videos on ETFs. Thank you for making these!

Thanks so much for this video. I admit to having a great Head Start a very high paying job and and putting a lot away. Over 25 years. But more young people need to see and understand this and think about the future. Great work!

I have both VOO and VTI and I love it. Some people say it's duplicative, and I can see that, but these ETFs are weighted differently and the number of holding are different (VOO - about 500 holdings, and VTI 3, 000+ holdings.)

SPY and VOO are same.
You can replace QQQ with VUG. QQQ has .20% expense rate when VUG has .04%

Such awesome honest info. But you might want to add a more realistic rate of return example.

I like SCHX and VOO.

QQQ is great, but the expense ratio is too high for me (0.20% expense ratio). VGT and FTEC are great substitutes for QQQ.
