If a company goes bankrupt while borrowing your shares, you get the borrowed amount as a treasury or something that’s separate to 212. Does that mean your borrowed investments will be closed or the portion of borrowed investments will be taken out of your account? If you had £5000 of borrowed shares that went insolvent would your investment account then shrink by £5000?

Nice to see investing advice not geared towards Americans where it doesn’t apply to us Irish. Sound!

Hi Darren, been following you since last year regarding investments here in Ireland. Is trading 212 a good platform for the long run? or should I go to others like Degiro and Interactive Broker. Thanks.

Great video didn’t even know about the interest on free funds until this video. The APR isn’t quite as good as the one on trade republic however. I think it’s a good idea to do the share lending because trading 212 lends out your shares anyway so you may as-well be getting something in return for it. Keep up the good videos !

Are you taxed on share lending? Do you have a yearly allowance before paying tax?

Sounds similar to Interactive Broker's Stock Yield Enhancement Programme.
