Hello, I'm going to be a freshman next year so I thought of planning early to increase my chances, and I'm seeing a lot of advice 'to have extracurriculars which align with your major.' But the biggest problem to me rn is that I'm still exploring things that I love and I haven't really chosen exactly which subject I'm going to major in. But once I do get the lightbulb in my head telling 'I want to major in _' it might me too late for me to even start building extracurriculars for that stream!
I will probably take a STEM related major but there's so many options!! This is really confusing :(

Pick extracurriculars that you enjoy or are meaningful to you. Don't base every decision through the lens of appeasing a college admissions board. Being a member of a club is not a "waste of time".

For the non profit point is it important to make it official. Like if I create a program and collaborate with schools or city government, but don’t establish my organization officially is it equivalent?

Do you think me judging at a science Olympiad tournament alongside my mentor is good? i judge at my local ones for the middle schools in my district and im not very sure if that's unique enough especially for the college im looking at which is stanford and yale. I've got other stuff too ofc but i just want some opinions on this one especially
