Truth. I spent the last 6 months studying linear algebra and I found it to be a really neat subject. I've moved on to studying statistical learning and the linear algebra I've learned has come in handy in understanding regression, for example. In fact, the text explains regression using a calculus based approach, which is fine, but I think that the linear algebra take on regression is more fundamental and more interesting. The good news is that it's not really any more difficult than the calc based approach and the basic idea extends to any number of dimensions a lot more easily than the calculus based approach IMO.

Looking forward to this series even though my attention is elsewhere right. Any chance to keep the linalg fresh is welcome!

I just took a linear algebra class and we stopped at eigenvalues (as in, how to find them) but absolutely no applications and I wish we did "here's how it's used!" But...well, I guess I'll see what you put out! Maybe it'll clear some stuff up.
