Having lived in LA off and on since 1968, I’d suggest the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Burbank. MUCH more authentic than Universal Studios — and you’ll really get to see what a working studio is really like. Worth seeing once.

Don't stay Downtown because of the TRAFFIC! There's nothing to see there and it will take you 40 minutes (on a good day) to get to any of the interesting places you'll want to go. And DO NOT stay in Burbank or Glendale. Despite what hotel websites say, it is not 15 minutes to Downtown there, except at 3am!

I always take visitors to the Observatory, The Roosevelt (for old time Hollywood glamour) and the Adamson House in Malibu for a beach experience and food on the pier. I feel that gives them the full L.A. experience in one day.

It looked to me just a regular day in LA, just because it's a major city doesn't mean it's going to be Lively everyday during the week. People do have to work, apartments and homes in LA are very expensive. This video won't deter me I'm going to make La my second home in the future.
