My fave thing about this, is the unsaid implication that he slid underneath her that first time down the slide. Love that creepy stuff

9:00, Notice the description of the water as "warm". In my experience, the water inside of these slides is typically cold, or room temperature, but far from warm. That wasn't water, it was the still warm blood of the little girl flowing down the tube.

It is also a working theory that the warm water is actually pee, as brought to my attention by the replies.

S: I hope it's sort of a human origami situation

R: That's what shape?

Ryan finally acknowledged that Shane stares at the title in terror and I think that’s so funny.

“I heard the slap of her body as she hit the drained pool’s hard cement.” I gasped so loud at this it startled my boyfriend in the other room. I don’t know why, but this sentence was horrifying to me.

This is an urban legend in the water park near my area. Only difference is no one noticed that she was missing for hours so dozens of people slid underneath her. She was found when a lifeguard slid down slowly with a flashlight after a few people mentioned that it felt like they hit something halfway down the slide.

The thought of the girl’s corpse saying “Cowabunga!” and doing this 🤙 while going down the water slide is the most horrifying and oddly funny image

this was honestly the most terrifying story so far. something about the art and the idea of being stuck in a dark tube with a child’s dead bloody body is horrifying

I had recurring dreams of a never ending slide as a child. Then one dream I recognized what was about to happen and turned around and walked away from the slide. Never had that dream again.

What if she was being terrorized by a monster that followed her around and it just so happened to decide to get her here? It seems very specific in targeting her compared to all the other people.

This is a really strong story. The location is weird and not exactly what you’d expect for a horror story, but that’s really why it works. And I appreciate that it doesn’t really give you any answers, just leaves you wondering what could have possibly happened to this little girl.

Ryan: money to plan wedding
Steven: money to buy a house
Shane: money to buy normal sized clothes

I’m sorry, I know how messed up this is but when it said “but all the officers were preoccupied” I just imagined a bunch of cops on the lazy river eating donuts 😂😂😂

The lifeguard coming across Lily on the ceiling, coupled with the demon smile, is actually some Junji Ito shit. I could perfectly imagine him writing a story like that, with the dreaded page-turn revealing her body on the ceiling. Absolutely chilling.

This story genuinely terrified me. In Sierra Vista, Arizona when I was 10, there was this place called "The Cove" and there was this huge swirl slide that was pitch dark that would lead into this separate pool. I was wearing a somewhat oversized bathing suit (I was a very small bodied kid) and got stuck in the middle of the slide. I didn't realize I was stuck because I couldn't see anything, and when the realization hit me I was yelling for help but nobody could hear me. I squirmed and tried to wiggle out, panicking, and could barely breathe because I it was so hot and humid. I felt like the walls were getting smaller and it felt like time was slowing down. I even tried to take off my bathing suit bottom but the water rushing down the slide made it hard to get them off. I sat there crying and screaming for help, until eventually with all my squirming, my bathing suit bottom tore. I slid down bare butt and flopped into the pool. The lifeguard was at the bottom angry telling me not to play around in the slide until she saw me bare bottomed and sobbing that I was "stuck." She was talking to my mom and when I heard how long I was in there for, I broke down. Almost 10 minutes I was stuck in there and nobody even came for me. Its scary because the last time I was there, I nearly drowned in the big pool because they have automated waves that are way too strong, and I ended up stuck underwater beneath this very large lady with a float tube as the waves pushed us at the same time. I never went back, and to this day I am terrified of pools and water slides.

Shane saying "you're gonna die" before sending someone down the slide as a lifeguard is maybe the realest lifeguard activity in this whole thing.
