That moment you realize most drop-outs from high school are doing better than you, financially .-.

That moment when you realize that guy acted as the unemployed graduate got paid for this

When all of your family come over at Christmas time and you have to explain that you're still unemployed ... -_-

I did everything I could to get my first job and it STILL took me almost a full year. Hang in there, job-hunters! Your time will come. :)

Those eyes he gives when his dad says, "The job market hasn't changed in the last 30 years."

Running into your old friend, who has now got a good job.. Totally true, they just keep going on and on and on about it.. Makes you really wanna punch them in their face

Oh man that last comment on how "the job market hasn't changed". . . .

This video kinda stressed me out. I'm a senior in high school and idk what college to go to or if I should even go or what I should even do with my life.

Coming from a recent college grad, this is pretty much spot on.

Every older person I talked to while I was still hunting told me to relax, that the job market is horrible and that getting my first job is meant to take long. I'm starting my first job soon almost 6 months after I graduated :D

This is me right now. *tears in my eyes*
And I'm adding this video to my "Favorites" playlist just to remind myself what a miserable situation I'm in right now.

It took me three years after graduating to get a full-time job in my field, and I wasn't rehired the following year; although my major by itself is pretty useless. I'm in a graduate licensure program and plan to get a master's and then study two additional fields when I'm done. I love higher education and learning in general (I'm taking a free unaccredited class using edX) but hate the outrageous costs and the student loan system that's used as an excuse for the high costs and makes a profit on insane amounts of interest.

* Hello, I'd like to return this.
-But that's your diploma...
*Yeah, it's unused.

That feel when people younger than you, got a job faster than you -.-

Can't wait to graduate in a year and a half then become a failure because the world is too hard! Since this is all the media ever says will happen, but everybody expects you to get the job and don't get why you don't have one...

It's been nearly a year after I graduated from college and I know how this character feels. For those who are still in college: Have fun! Make memories and apply early before you graduate.

don't go to college to work for someone else. go to college to learn what you need to open your own business. find your passion and what you excel at and work for yourself. take it from someone who is starting late in the game. do not spend your money (or your parents) going to college to work for a corporation. use your talent to make yourself successful and wealthy. you will hate working for other people, you will hate making other people rich, you will hate conforming to someone else's ideas. trust and use your instinct to work for yourself. if you can't open your own business, go in the direction of being a freelancer especially if you're a graphic designer/artist/in the creative field. get your intern experience or professional experience as necessary but take in all you can to develop YOUR skills and get the heck outta there. just speaking from experience, i am going thru it now and wish my parents taught me otherwise.

Am I the only one who thinks that working at BuzzFeed would be spectacular?

I just graduated from college with a degree in Early Childhood Education. My major was not a waste of time because kids need teachers that can inspire them to do more than what they thought was possible. Plus teachers in some form or another inspire every possible career on the planet. Yea, even engineers.

Pretty much me right now. Masters degree under my belt and I've only had one job interview since I earned it. And I've put out at least 50 applications.
