Most of the time it’s JD Power and they go with what banks say because they are the ones that work with everyone (I work at a super high volume store)

Hey Zach, why don’t you suggest to people that they should figure out if they’re being stupid with their money as well? $24, 000 for a six-year-old truck with 85, 000 miles on it and there are literally thousands if not tens of thousands of these for saleat the same time?

The way I look at it if it’s been in the market for longer than 15-20 days then it’s probably not a great price otherwise someone else would’ve bought it already

An even easier way is if you are looking at used cars the price will be too high. You are always getting screwed by dealers, so always negotiate.

I'm a bit disappointed in this advice. Accepting 24k as "reasonable", when that's their asking price? Why not tell us to start negotiating up from the trade-in value, not down from their asking price?
