Great video. Thanks. I am trying to get away from using my tiller. I have been using a great deal of leaves and I hope that makes it better in time.

Deep digging like you've done will help with resistance to drought as the roots can go deeper for water.

Wonderful video! Thank you for your work. Bards Of War - was mentioning this but until I saw your video I thought it was just for aeration.
What is a roller hoe you mentioned and is there a video where you use it in a section? (Roller hoe search brings up a wide variety of videos. I’ll tunnel it deeper but any links to your videos would be helpful here.) Thank You!

Im nervous about the ash wood handles and am considering going with steel. I have pretty compressed clay soil and have had wooden handles break on other garden tools. But steel could be too heavy for lil ol me! Lol decisions decisions!
I see you went with the ash wood handles.. any regrets?
Any thoughts on going with steel?

Grow sunflowers every few years, as they can grow up to a meter deep, they do a great job breaking up soil with little actual effort.
If you want to REALLY break up that Earth, Grow Wild Fig trees, as they can have taproots of 122 meters, or 400 feet deep in some cases.

That’s the exact one I own. Boy does it work great.
Sadly, you are doing it wrong. You only pull enough to pop the soil sections and allow separation and air into soil. Pulling soil completely up is no different then rototiller. You are defeating the tools purpose and benefit.
Again, only pull and pop the soil, don’t fully open and expose bottom soil.
