what i really love about this solo is he clearly doesn't feel the need to flex by squeeinng out super high notes - that's impressive on its own, but he just lets his raw musicality shine through in a high-school level range. very impressive!

It's a simple solo note-wise, but the extreme virtuosity comes from It's phrasing. The solo is perfectly structured and every note is amazingly crafted. As a horn player, this is way harder than any 16th bebop line ever created.

I saw him live a couple months ago at the blue note, he’s an absolutely incredible musician and even an even cooler human being, he speaks from his soul. He performed a lot of new music at the show and man I can’t wait for it to be released it’s incredible, he really shines live.
