I completed two sessions. I am seeing improvement but not like crazy improvement. The treatment is painless. The pain is very easily tolerable. And shedding is a lot less. I am doing Microneedling and minoxidil with prp . So far not a very bad experience. Like most people say if you grew your hairs back by prp its temporary. If you maintain is regularly and took a prp session every year your hair will remain as usual. I have seen some people who saw great results. There is a lot of chance it may work . Give it a shot . If it didn't work just shave it off. Don't worry about the feature. Stay strong. Life will become better

I like the way the doctor described it the treatment, if you’re completely bald forget about it but if you experience some thinning it could work. It works better for women than it does for men. Got it

I just got my first treatment and it's not pain free and not "go back to work" or "no downtime" as it's being marketed. The procedure itself is not bad, but you have a protocol you have to follow after like stay out of the sun for 2 days, don't bend over for 24 hours, no exercise for 48 hours, don't wash your hair for 24 hours and sleep at a 45 degree angle for the 1st two nights (the worst part). After all the poking on your scalp, you won't feel like doing anything anyways as you'll have headaches and discomfort. I'm on day 4 and I'm still recovering feeling groggy and slight pain. Also, your scalp is going to feel tight. I actually dread doing this 2 more times to complete the cycle. I would suggest doing this on a Friday or when you have a couple days off from work so you don't have to deal with anybody.

I did my first session of PRP about 3 weeks ago. the pain was super tolerable for me. believe it or not I had more discomfort from the drawing of the blood than the treatment itself :). in this 3 week I have realised that the overall quality of my hair has improved drastically. I'm not shedding a lot but there is some normal shedding I believe. I'm also taking finasteride alongside treatment. my next appointment is in 10 days. hope I see regrowth after completing all 3 sessions.

As someone who has done PRP and kept it as an ongoing treatment, I can say that it's definitely not painless. The practice I go to, does not numb your forehead and it hurts like a bitch. I do see good results though!

I had a consultation today for PRP and the lady was very honest about her opinion and also showed me some pictures of people who had it done from her and after seeing the pictures I was not satisfy as what I saw in the pictures was a woman had some hair and some was missing from front to middle and one person had bold patch with some thin hair and she told me that was after 6 treatment results so you do get area of your head covered with your own hair and some not.

Hey for those that have daily shredding does your scalp itch? If it does then you might have some type of skin condition like dermatitis or psoriasis. Solve the scalp inflammation first once the scalp is healthy and inflammation is gone then do the PRP or whatever treatment your doing

Wait...was this guy full head of hair a good candidate? What can we expect the ones that really need this treatment?

I just had my first PRP session today. The pain was tolerable and felt more like getting a tatoo on my head. I hope to see results within 3-4 months

Does it work on healthy hair, let’s say you just want to boost hair growth?

My question is : how can you maintain your hair after PRP or hair transplant?

You neglected to say that you might develop scar tissue on the injection site which can't be good for hair growth.

@RealSelf I have done a direct hair implantation procedure for the front/top and crown in April 2023. The results are already showing so I'm happy. I was also thinking of doing a PRP on 1st August. Do I really need it. My procedure was really painful and lost a lot of blood. I hate needles. Do I really need PRP because I've already also ordered the minoxidil + finasteride spray.

I bought a 10 session package. Had the first 6 done once every 3 weeks then quarterly there after. Up to my 9th session now and won't bother going to my last as I have not seen any improvement over the course of a year. Hair has continued to thin out.

I don’t have shedding anymore; however, my patch has not grown a single inch in 4 years. Would PRP help stagnant growth?

prp isnt really worth it. did 4 treatments and results were alright. saw better results doing rosemary oil mixture for 6 months.

It’s not permanent, that’s the thing.

Im glad I had my prp done before reading the comments 😅
I had it done 2 weeks ago while doing my Hair transplant in London.
To be honest my haid was already under anesthesia so I didn't really feel the pain.
The whole thing takes up to 30 min.
My scond session will be in 3 weeks time then last one 6 weeks after that.
