A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I stopped wearing ponytails because it causes tension damage. I had alopecia areata about a year ago with a coin sized circle on my head. I believe this is the treatment I received. They also prescribed me a medicine to apply to the spot after, which I never ended up getting. Sure enough the hair came back in the spot. Alopecia areata sometimes improves on its own, but it sure seems like the treatment did work. I understand that’s different than androgenic alopecia

It was a bad decision to try prp for me. It’s been over one year with 5 treatments at 3500 dollars. It did not help to grow any new hair or make current hair thicker.
