Respect for everyone not tearing into the guy who picked civilian. They understood.

I believe this is a war-time question that must remain unasked and unanswered.

Wouldn’t it be civilian just because they never signed up for it, and the squad mate knows what they signed up for?

The civilian hasn’t signed up to die whereas the soldier is so it makes more sense going for the civilian but a squad mate is like a close friend or family so you don’t want to let them die either so both sides are quite valid

never was in the military, reckon i'd rather save the squad mate, but would save the civilian, cos thats the job and what you signed up for, but probably have nightmares for years to come. fu*€ing hard choice that would be.

You save a squadmate, to save more civilians together later.

It's not really a hard question I guess it depends on the circumstance

I could not be more surprised at this. Thought they would all immediately say civilian. Wow.

Saving a squad mate can result in saving more civilians than just the one civilian in the future

I feel saving a civilian would make more sense because the soldier joined the military knowing they might die and the civilian is just in the crossfire

The people in the right should not be allowed to go into situations where people need them as they have showed they only care about what there higher ups or "mates" rather than anyone who has not signed up for it has no role in the conflict besides being a another body. Youre job at least on paper is to protect those who cant themselves and this shows why we fail as humans.

No one gets to tell these people what’s right or wrong. It’s there personal choice and we should be thankful either way
