25 and started my apprenticeship on july 15th. I left a laboring position making between 60k-70k a year.... but it was not a career. I bit the bullet and took a position that is less than half what I was making. All because I knew I need a career not a job. If anyone else is in the same boat, it's ok to start over and work your way back up again. Good luck to all those starting their career in the plumbing industry. I currently live alone with my dog but I know in the long run, that future house, future new vehicle, and future life will be worth it.

Plumbing maybe a hard job but what’s even harder is not being able to support yourself or your family. I will get down and dirty for a better future

I became a plumbing apprentice at 31 in Houston Texas. I have good days and I have bad days but overall I come home feeling accomplished.

Hey y’all, 16 and in tradeschool to be a plumber/pipefitter, I took the initiative to look at where everyone else was going and I just went the opposite way. Proud to be learning this intuitive trade. God bless all of you!

I'm a 38 year old woman who has spent my entire life trapped behind a desk in an office job and I am eager to start an apprenticeship in the trades and work with my brain AND my hands. I'm a bit worried that it's "too late"' but I think it might be worth it!

I’m 21 and have been doing retail and sales for 2-3 years now. I saw a plumbing apprentice job listing on indeed and got curious. I’ve always been curious about doing a trade/manual labor job because once I get into doing manual labor, I do enjoy it. I’ll definitely be watching more from this channel to see if plumbing is something I should look into! All I know is I want a good career that isn’t a desk job. It’s too boring to sit on your butt all day haha!

As a 29 year old woman I started as an apprentice at the end of this May. It feels great to finally know what I want to work with and I learn new things everyday. I have no experience whatsoever in this business so it's hell of a ride with a lot of information. But it's really fun!

I’m 37 I started plumbing at 18 full time. I can take my skills to pay the bills everywhere. Just watch learn and ask questions. When my helper brings me a tool I don’t need I’m still happy because at the very least he’s trying. Then I show him why I don’t need that tool.

Fantastic video. Thank you so much for the pep talk.
I am a 4th year apprentice who is getting closer to the goal of becoming licensed but this job can wear on you sometimes, especially if your company doesnt even give you breaks most times. Lol
I need that final push of motivation to finish my race and you just helped big time. Thanks so much.
I do side jobs all the time and I know that when I have the freedom and power to choose my own path, it wont be as grueling and back breaking on my body.
I appreciate everything Ive gone though and experienced, but we are overworked at my company, no question.
Anyways enough bitching out of me! I subscribed for sure. Thanks for the videos.

16 years commercial plumbing/pipefitting. Hands down my favorite part of my job is piping or re-piping large mechanical rooms.

I'm 25 and started my apprenticeship with the local 68 this year. I'm officially going to work this upcoming Monday. I'm extremely nervous since I've never done any work like this before, but I'm also anxious as hell to learn the craft. Wish me luck and thanks for spreading some knowledge.
