I'm not a girl but I know that they have it worse than we do. I have seen it, the fear in my little sister's eyes whenever she goes out, she has to look around checking if someone's following her. I really try my best to be sure she feels safe as her older brother, unfortunately I can't do much since I've moved out, I want her and every other girl to feel safe. Every girl deserves a partner that cares about her, and treats his/her girl the way they deserve. When my gf is on her period, I always try to make her day by giving her some of her favorite chocolate while watching her favorite series cuddling with lots of blankets to keep her warm, both on the inside (her heart) and on the outside . Sorry for talking too much, but please to all (straight) men out there take some examples and treat your girl the way she deserves, and then she will appreciate you even more.

here’s a tip for girls: if you feel like someone is following you, go into a crowd and try to lose them if you can’t, don’t be afraid to approach a random stranger, if they are a good person they’ll give you a ride or wait until an Uber or a friend picks you up. Once I was at the pub with a few friends, they were all drunk but I was sober since I didn’t drink. I went outside to have a smoke and a random girl who was probably 15-16 came up to me and said that dude was following her and if I could give her a ride. I saw the weirdo near the street light so I looked at her and said “why are you out this late? If mom knew she’d be pissed.” After I said this, I saw him walking away and after he was gone, she started to cry and hugged me, since I didn’t have a car or even a license, I called her an Uber and never saw her since. Went back into the pub and had some fun with my friends playing pool.

Everytime i hear that girls have it easier, i remember the (true)story about a man pestering his wife to have kids despite her being afraid. Cause "her body is obviously made for it, so come on"

She died during child birth. She neved wanted kids and was afraid of pregnancy.

Or about the girl who got pregnant in my class in high school after her first time having sex, and was called a whore, despite the guy who knocked her up being 3 years older then her(she was 12, our middle and high schools were combined) being praised for it.

Or every time i try to go walking around my neighborhood, only to be reminded how dangerous it is by having creeps followong me home(or that one dude who almost kidnapped me if i didnt take his creepy comment seriously)

Or the one person who told me the revolution for women to earn equal rights was over and all the songs coming about women being powerful should stop. Like what?

I'm not saying men have it easy, God no, its just Women and Men and everyone in between and outside those boxes struggle, but they are different struggles. All created by our weird ancestors

Talking about one does not minamize the other, so why people find it necessary to say that one or another have it easy is beyond me.

*Girls, important tip!* Don't hold your keys between your fingers like that, because you're more likely to hurt yourself if it ever comes the need to use them, because they're not firm enough.

Instead, make a fist and let your key or any pointy object out from the underside of your hand, kinda like 80s serial killers movies hold their knives. That's the correct way to hold a knife too, and gives you a better grip and angle both if you're attacked from the front or grabbed from behind because your keys won't bend, they'll stab.

Don't forget to always be aware of your surroundings. Stay safe! ❤

One more thing: STOP BEING POLITE!

being polite puts you in bad situations because you don't want to be rude.

Treat ppl with respect but remember that "no" is a complete sentence and you don't owe anyone anything

girls, if a random stranger on the streeet asks you to “hang out” with them and you feel uncomfortable, tell them “no, my friends/family are expecting me and i can’t leave them hanging” (even if you’re not actually planning on meeting up with anyone). i’m not much of a looker but even i’ve had to use that one a couple times. it’s good to mention you have people waiting for your arrival, because that tells the stranger that if you don’t show up, people will be looking for you. if they don’t listen and begin to get pushy, do not back down, don’t worry about being polite. tell them no and to leave you alone. if they don’t, use any means of self defense available to you, and make sure people you trust do have your location and know you’re not currently safe if you can. some men may try to claim we don’t have to deal with these things, but if so many of us relate to this video, i feel like that’s a pretty good sign we do. the best thing we can do is support and help each other however we can. stay safe out there<3

Tips for girls! Don’t walk at night unless you are with someone or have protection (preferably pepper spray, pocket knife or both) when you leave the house leave the tv running (makes who evers trying to break in think someone’s home), have a passcode or Face ID to unlock your phone don’t leave it with no passcode because if someone gets ahold of it they have access to all your contacts ect

If you feel like you’re being followed for no reason, intuition is intuition- you don’t know why but its true lol

I keep seeing these videos, and yes I fully understand it’s to support woman with men and stuff. The thing is though, not all men are like this. My brother went through this, he was just in public and some random girl came running up saying “Stop looking at my friend, creep!”.. He was looking and the food place next to them. He definitely didn’t deserve to be slapped or yelled at by a stranger. So, what I’m saying is, not all men are like this.

Ladies, don’t do keys between the fingers. You’re likely to injure yourself and lose them. Put them on a lanyard and swing them at your attacker. Go for the face, it’s a much more effective hitting them with all your keys than hoping you land a scratching blow

Tip for guys: If you feel your unintentional making a woman uncomfortable, make it obvious you want nothing to do with them!

In my Indian family I am expected to be able to cook and basically be a housewife just so some random guy will look at me during arranged marriage and say "Eh, I'll take her."

a little safety tip from my father :)
if someone is attacking you, instead of going for a punch in the face, slide your foot down their shin and absolutely destroy them grippers. this will cause them to double over and then u can uppercut them <33 stay safe

My dad is a cop and he always tells me to be aware of my surroundings, he tells me to only have one earbud in at all times. He also tells me to look confident, and gives me random quizzes to see if I was paying attention, like, ‘what color was her hair?’ and stuff like that! :)

As a man I also feel some of these points. Not only girls feel unsave when they're outside alone at night in the middle of nowhere. Men can also be beaten up, be robbed, stabbed or shot.
It's not like only women suffer from the behaviour of toxic men.

As a lady I can confirm this is just facts. I cant even sit next to guys that are 30+ (not because they are guys or their age, because of experiences..)
