this boy (charlie) and girlfriend were hanging out with 2 other ppl (boy + girl) and they were sitting in a circle playing truth or dare. the boy asked charlie to kiss the prettiest girl in the room. he had a crush on the girl (that wasn't his girlfriend), and he didn't like the relationship he was in. so he kissed the other girl that wasn't his girlfriend. that's why the other boy said "oh, that's f***ed up."

In the first one, you can see the excitement building up within her make something might finally go right, that it could be her. And the how the disappointment breaks her down and causes her discomfort maybe even dissociation and then she zones back in with a false smile.

The second knows it won’t be her but thinks it might be nice if it could. But she knows lower her expectations so that she’s never disappointed. She watched not even surprised that it’s not her but it still hurts.
