SUPER EASY circle skirt - NO zippers, NO fuss, NO π formula - just EASY 1 hour SKIRT!

Dear Sewing Friends, this is a beginner friendly tutorial for a half circle skirt that you can make in 1 hour! Spring and summer is almost here, so you can make this to wear and enjoy! You will need 2 measurements to get started and some elastic. No zippers, no fuss, no π formula for sewing this SKIRT! Also, don't forget that you can use this to create a dress with a variety of skirts! Happy SEWING!

FABRIC TO USE (don't limit yourself to these suggestions) - cotton, cotton blends, linen blends, rayon, chambray, twill and more! It is best, in my opinion, for your first time to use a stable fabric, so that it is easier for you to work with. Fabrics like silk or satin will look great but are difficult to work with if you have no experience.

HOW TO become a MEMBER of this channel to get access to Extra Videos, library of Instruction Sheets and other perks– PLEASE READ FIRST TILL THE END. Thank you!
• PLEASE NOTE: these are not patterns for clothes and garments included in the Membership
• Instruction sheets are a step-by-step written instruction on how I drafted this or that project, so that you can follow along. Instruction Sheets are available as a back catalogue, but there are no new Instruction sheets for projects starting with July 2022.
• The templates are ONLY for the small projects, like a basket, or coaster, or towel wrap and etc.
• I have also created sewing reference sheets and practice sheets, as well as sketches that you can use and some small-scale garment parts that you can use to practice "slash and spread" techniques and dart manipulations. Instruction sheets are focused on the drafting process and less on the sewing sequence as that is shown in the video. Sewing steps can be sometimes written out, and sometimes referenced back to the original video.
• Members Extra videos go into fabric selection, extra tips and tricks, best practices and some additional ideas from me
• I try to prioritize Members comments, especially if there is a question
• I try to post EARLY ACCESS videos for Members, meaning those are videos that you can watch earlier than anyone else and without ads :)
• Every week I post Members ONLY sneak peeks

Thank You for being here and see you soon!

Thank you so much for the tip about big booties! I decided to start making clothes bc no one makes clothes that fit my shape but I still run into so many issues. Really appreciate it! 👌

I love how you describe a fuller body shape! From now on my “mummy tummy” is going to be “my volume!” 😂 Brilliant video, thanks. 👍🏻

You are so much more organized and very explicit in your sewing. The method you use in planning a pattern is simple, complete and very visual. The others are disorganized, sloppy, or WAY>TOO>LONG!!!! You are a really good teacher!

Thank you for this video, definitely will give it a go! Do you think it could be made in Georgette fabric? 😁

Hi there. You started with 5 inches plus 1 inch which is 6 inches. But you measured 7 inches on the tracing paper... I'm confused, am I missing something?

You mentioned adding in-seam pockets. Do you have a tutorial on how to make and sew them?

I just ordered fabric to make some skirts and will be referring to this video. So much easier then the last circle skirt video I watched (and made) And of of course I will be adding pockets!! I've added pockets to all my PJ pants since I got my machine in July.

I'm a new sewer and since you raced through putting the waistband on it took me hours to figure it out. Omg. It goes upside down so top stitching seals the casing before you string the elastic through. You can't see that in the video. You're welcome, newbies!
