I wanted to share with you three NREMT practice questions that will help you prepare for the NREMT exam. When you take an NREMT practice test or a set of NREMT questions you want to know the WHY behind the answer.

I have chosen these three NREMT practice questions because they cover a wide range of NREMT content.

Let me know in the comments below, if you got all three NREMT practice questions right? If you got something wrong, that is OK, I explain the reasoning after the correct answer is revealed in the video.

I look forward to your success in EMT/Paramedic School and on NREMT exam day.

Be great,

Evan, The Paramedic Coach®

"Hot and dry: sugar high. Cool and clammy: give some candy" - this phrase helped me answer the third question

Just took the NREMT Yesterday waited all day, got a email in the middle of the night. Woke up to EMT CERT LETS This was mh 3rd attempt and it felt like my worst one. Like I had to guess on so many it felt like I bombed it. But you can do it!! To anyone who needs to see this you can do it. Thank you Paramedic Coach you are a great teacher!! (I used Paramedic coach bls accelerator paired with pocket pre questions)

GCS is important to know for the test. It’s a lot to remember but eventually you’ll get it down. I think the hardest part is getting the motor function down because it’s a 6 point score. It is used to assess brain injury towards the bottom of the scale whereas decorticate (flexion) is a 3 and decerebrate (extension) a 2 indicates a closer to the brainstem injury.

Your content is awesome. I passed my NREMT on my first attempt from a course I took, pocketprep, and your content. Your content helped me most understand how to answer the exam questions. Thank you! I plan to continue using your content to stay current and not have to lose all my knowledge.

FYI: I may not be the first person to mention this but Pennsylvania EMS Protocols states: if a Pt becomes unresponsive, apneic, and pulseless in the middle of a transport the EMT should apply the AED first, before chest compressions. If the arrest was not witnessed by PA-EMS, chest compressions should ne the first action. However, PA EMS candidates must pass the NREMT before getting there PA EMT.

Just wanted to say I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now, failed my first attempt and as of yesterday I’m a FF/EMT. I Just wanted to say thank you and to anyone that’s going through class or preparing to test, stay focused because you go this. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. 🫶🏾

Question: Regarding Q#2, if you had an AED at hand once you discovered the patient was pulseless and apneic, would you go AED or CPR first?
